A Calm Burning City

Its hard to sleep when you know you're being watched. I thought I made it seem clear that this city was better off on its own. Only the judgment lies in those that haven't been by their side. So I stand off as people describe this world in a fairy tale land to make them sleep at night. Even though most of us tried to touch home but walked way too far too even attempt a return. I was made little to these eyes but as loud as these voices; I scream out. "Alone, broken and cold. I did this all on my own. My personal war caught in my virtual world. With the weight of the galaxy on my shoulders, it rains treturous waters. I survived." Makes me wonder how many souls can't even sleep after death. And I continue to walk on as if sleepwalking has been my only cure since birth.
